Do You Know Your Skills?

Following the great feedback from our last evening, I thought that it would be interesting to take a look at Skills this month.

Have you ever wondered ‘What are My Skills’?  For those of you job searching or considering a change of career, the first step to opening up your career horizons is to identify your transferable skills. This evening is designed to help you identify the skills that you enjoy using and that will give you a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment in your work.

At the end of the evening you will have identified your key transferable skills as well as skills that you may wish to develop.  With this valuable information, you will be in a position to review job descriptions with clarity about the work that will give you satisfaction while meeting the employers’ requirements.  You will also be clear on which skills you wish to include in your CV.

Workshop Details: Tuesday 9th April 7pm – 9.30pm in The Lantern Centre on 17 Synge St, Dublin 8. (Park in the school yard, room is in basement beside Lantern on Synge St itself).  Cost €15. There will be a cup of tea afterwards to share the experience with like-minded people.

I hope to see you there – please pass on to friends who may be interested.

Thanks. Mary 086 883 8383

One-Day Career Planning Workshop

Chrysalis: ‘Inspiration, Learning, Connection’.  What a wonderful environment to explore this really important part of our lives.  Our careers.

This practical 1-day Career Planning Workshop creates a space to look at what you want from your work-life and then to reflect on how to get it.  By the end of the day you will have developed your own personal Career Action Plan to help you move forward in your career.

Why not take a day out of your busy life to focus on You and Your Career?  Saturday, 13th April from 10 am to 5 pm in Greystones, beside the sea and opposite the Happy Pear.  I’m looking forward to it.

Please pass it on 🙂

Workshop information

What a truly creative and inspiring evening ……

‘I felt a renewed burst of energy from all the creativity in the room last night.  I was positively spewing out creative ideas today……Mary, you’ve got to do more of these!’   Feedback from a participant in ‘Do You Know What You Really Want?’ last night.

The workshop was a great success.  The lovely cosy room in the Lantern Centre was strewn with magazines, coloured card, pictures, pritt stick and scissors as people flicked through magazines ….  cutting, sticking and filling in their Vision Boards.   It was truly inspiring.

This was the 1st in a series of 4 career coaching workshops. Please let me know if there is a topic you would like covered.  Like me on Facebook or follow me on my website for updates.

Do You Know What You Really Want?

Only 6 days to go to the Career Building workshop ‘Do You Know What You Really Want? Last Sunday, I ran a Vision Board workshop for a group of 22 – it was such fun and each Vision Board was unique, individual and inspiring. I can’t wait for next week. Here’s a video by Meadow DeVor on making a vision board that you might find interesting http://bit.ly/YNxVaI

I hear on the grapevine that several people want to create a Life Vision Board on the evening rather than focusing in on Career – I love it . Please pass on the word – 7pm next Tuesday in the Lantern Centre. I look forward to seeing you there. Mary
